Fiji Time - Fiji Smile - Bula Dance

So. I'm now leaving Korovou for Sunrise at the Island Nanuya Lai Lai. I don't mind going to a smaller resort, I quite enjoy being far away from internet, pools, hot showers and bar games. The thing I will miss from this island, and I think I speak for all the girls here, is the dinner entertainment. It's like the Fijian Chippendales, haha! Every night after dinner they dance for us. Singning and dancing is such a big part of the Fijian culture. Everytime new arrivers come they sing you a welcome song, everytime you leave, they sing you the godbye song. During dinner they sing and play the guitar and uculele. And they sing so beautiful. Most of the people traveling are girls. I think there has been about 85% women at all the places I've stayed in in Fiji. I can see why the younger Fijian guys like working in the bigger resorts. I found that in the bigger resorts you get the younger guys dancing the bula dance and playing volleyboll. In the smaller, Fijian-owned resorts there are older Fijians and it's more quiet and feels very safe. I love this place so much.
