Fraser Island

What the hell was that, anyway?

I just signed up for a three day camping experience and ended up totally fucked up, haha.
I was first driver, no one else volunteered, which was kind of worrying. I thought that there was gonna be like a fight over who gets to drive. But no. Who wants to drive this 4W packed with ten young innocent kids, camping gear and three days of food!? Yeah! That blond chick with an ass that wont quit. Swedish? I donno. She has no voice. Let's just all leave our life in her hands, she seems pretty sensible. At least she's the oldest one in the group(!) Finally.

"Years gone by easily... "I used to be the youngest one all the time. Those were the days, huh?

Anyway. Low gear, High gear, tire pressure, 4 wheel drive, tracks, hard sand, soft sand.
The worlds largest sand Island.

-Don't worry guys! I'm used to driving in snow, it's just the same.
And it was. But the car wasn't.

The highlight of the trip was definately the driving. I never wanted to give up the wheel. My thighs got some good exercise, I'm telling you. The clutch was pretty tough.
The downside of this trip was not Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby or Eurong. They were all amazingly beautiful. The downside was the camping, the planning, the group (sorry guys, but what the hell was wrong with you:)

Good for Nicola, who chose to join the guided two-day tour instead.
Jenny and I were exhausted just after the shopping. (25 minutes after the 30 minutes dvd on how to survive camping with dingoes and riving on different surfaces) We all had to go shopping together. Three days of food, packing, organizing, planning.
We were 7 girls and three guys. Let me introduce there guys to you:
First of all, there was Jenny and I, who were in charge of driving.
Then there was Isabella and AnnaKarin, who were from Lulea and did the dishes. Once. The words please or thank you did not excist in their vocabulary.
Next we had Ingrid and Karin, two Norweigian girls. One who was cool and one who was Monica's (from Friends) blond twin.
Fun was scheduled for twenty minutes per day, and I always missed it, haha!

Then there were the guys.
Robert from Canada, who was so cool and had great teeth.
Spanish Guillermo and Diego in their mid-twenties were the pretty faces and pretty much also a hightlight of the trip. Guys, I'm sorry about this but we women have needs. When the car in front got stucked, the three guys happily jumped out and offered to help. When they took of their shirts Jenny and I just turned the music up and brought out the snack. Oh my god.

So. Nicola. What's the deal with Fraser Island? Sand, is it?
